Under House Bill 542, state residents can now buy and use the full line of fireworks that comply with federal requirements for consumers.
Consumers can now purchase and use “Class C” fireworks including Firecrackers, Roman Candles, Bottle rockets, Cakes, and similar fireworks that were previously only available to out-of-state residents.
​
The additional 12% tax placed on these purchases will go to a fund for first responders.
